Roy Maclean –
After meeting Jim Lownes in 2009 at the public school where we both taught, Jim and I spent the next 13 years recording three albums whenever our full-time-24/7 jobs as teachers allowed. I released my album, “Lost Innocence” in 2013, and “Silence Movement Change” in 2018. I’ll be releasing my third album, “My Nothing Everything,” containing 17 new original tracks, on January 1st, 2024.
This is the first time that I’ve gotten a band together. When asked why I have not performed before, I always refer back to Andy Warhol’s quote, “Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” After recording and releasing 42.5 songs on 3 albums, I think it’s time to share them with whomever may enjoy them.
My Music is possible thanks to my friends, Jim Lownes, who co-produced all of my music, and Brian Price, who brings his guitar prowess to every song he plays. For the band, Amos Przekaza, joined us on drums, Steve Billman on bass, Darion Roberts on keyboard, and Micia is taking over the backing vocals.
Tom McCauley (of Mixworks), has brought his mixing wizardry to the last 2 albums (he also mastered “Silence Movement Change”), and the legend, Ron Boustead (of Resolution Mastering) completed the mastering of my latest album.
